Hello & welcome to my first blog post! I am delighted to get started and have lots of great information to share with you all! I intend to chat about all things bridal hair and makeup, skin health and facials, skin nutrition, products and anything else I think you will be interested to hear about!
Firstly, I thought I would tell you a little more about myself - I left school to train as a Hairdresser, Makeup Artist and Beauty Therapist. I have been in this industry for around 30 year now....so yes, for those of you doing your maths in your head right now, I am in my 40's....well, I'll actually be 50 next year and very much looking forward to all the celebrations haha!
I also trained as a nurse when I was 26 and worked as a Haematology/ Oncology Nurse for 9 years but I quickly realised that my passion definitely was for hair and beauty, so started up Pamper & Polish during this time...which will be 15 years old this year yehh!
As well as specialising in bridal hair and makeup, I also do some holistic & beauty therapies such as Reflexology & Aromatherapy and work from my home beauty studio. I have specialised in face massage rejuvenation techniques for 10 years now, which I love and trained with one of the worlds most renowned Gua Sha experts, Cecily Braden, in London last year. It was an intensive 3 days, learning all about this ancient theory and its skin health benefits- fascinating! I will definitely tell you all about in another blog post!
I live with my husband & pupster called Paddy- Im sure you will meet him when you visit my studio- He absolutely loves everyone and is the sweetest pup! He would love to stay with you in the studio whilst you have your treatment...but he isn't allowed :-)
I absolutely love what I do. I feel very blessed to be a part of your wedding morning and I love to know that I have given you confidence in your appearance and skin health with the treatments I offer too.
