HI THERE, I'M LESLEY!
I’m a bridal hairstylist, makeup artist, and skin-glow coach working with brides in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, and beyond
MY STORY
Hairdressing and beauty have always been my passion. I trained as a hairstylist as soon as I finished school, going on to work in prestigious salons and high-end department store salons. I went on to do an HND in Beauty Therapy as I wanted to learn as much as possible.
But life has lots of twists and turns. I decided to train as a nurse, leaving my full-time beauty and stylist work behind. I couldn’t give it up entirely, though, and I’d dash to clients’ houses after a long shift on the ward to do their hair and beauty treatments. I loved being a nurse and caring for my patients, but I missed the creativity and joy of making people feel beautiful in their own skin.
So, that’s when I decided to pour my heart and soul into my beauty business. I set up Pamper & Polish in 2005. It began its’ life as a mobile hairdressing and beauty clinic until I took out an advert in a wedding magazine, and loads of brides booked me. Now, I welcome hundreds of brides into my home studio for their hair and make-up trials and clients for their relaxing holistic facials. My studio is a lovely light and airy space at the bottom of my garden. Here, you can leave all your stresses and to-do list's at the door and spend a few hours focusing on your beauty and well-being.

I just love sharing in the bride’s enthusiasm and excitement for her wedding day and playing a part in helping bring that vision to life.
And I can’t wait to do the same for you!
I want to help you feel beautiful - on your wedding day and beyond & beauty
Self-love is foundational to my business. I always tell my brides about the importance of looking after themselves and avoiding invasive treatments or chemical products. I’ve made my life’s work out of helping people feel confident. But it’s not always easy and something I struggle with myself from time to time. But the thing with self-love and confidence is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. It’s all about being a little kinder to ourselves. And speaking to yourself with the same grace you give others. When we work together, I’ll always stand in your corner and empower you to be your most honest, authentic self. But I want you to know that I’m on the journey with you.
I'm a skin-glow coach who helps you heal and transform your relationship with your skin
I practice the art of natural beauty. And for me, that involves taking a holistic approach to our skin health. I talk to so many brides who use so-called miracle creams or go for invasive treatments to achieve a radiant complexion. Less is more. I promote natural well-being practices that completely transforms your skin and ignites your inner glow.

I’ve been professionally trained by holistic skincare specialists in gua sha, facial reflexology, facial massage, and facial yoga. These natural methods create powerful and long-lasting results and ignite your inner glow. All of my treatments include the use of natural, organic, cruelty-free, and fragrance-free products.
My course, The Vibrant Bride, will guide you through a step-by-step process to achieve dewy-fresh skin. Each lesson focuses on a different massage, face yoga or acupressure exercise to kick-start your skin health journey. It’s a great way to prepare your skin for your wedding day.
A few things about me
I love to dance. When I’m not working with my gorgeous brides in my love home studio, you can find me on the dance floor. I’m big into my Jive classes and dances. Focusing on the dance steps is like a form of meditation.
I started learning piano at the ripe age of 52. My grandpa was a pianist, and I always grew up with music. Of course, playing the piano was the last thing I wanted to do as a child, so I gave it up. It’s been my life’s regret. So, I thought, ‘sod it, it’s never too late to start something new. (Don’t worry; I won’t play you anything when you come in for your hair & make-up trial. I’ll spare you, haha.)
My dollhouse reminds me of life’s simple pleasures. I’ve always loved wee cute miniature items. I had a dollhouse in my teens, and I absolutely loved it. I discovered an exact replica of it a few years ago, and I had to buy it. I can’t tell you how joyful and nostalgic it is collecting items to fill the rooms.

These are a few of my favourite things:
-
Hanging out with my two gorgeous golden retrievers, Paddy & Elvis
-
Getting my skates on and whooshing around an outdoor ice-ink
-
Escaping to my seaside caravan for the weekend
-
Catching up with friends in cosy coffee shops
-
Going to watch musical theatre (I’d go every week if I had my way!)
